How Omega 3 Boosts your Child’s Concentration Span

Omega 3 & 6 are both well known for their positive effects on the human body and are now helping children with ADHD.

In a study conducted in Sri Lanka, it was reported that children with ADHD who took Omega 3 and 6 for six months were calmer. Also, they were capable of concentrating for longer periods of time and more cooperative. Without Ritalin or behavioral therapy they were naturally able to improve the children’s schooling experience and ability to learn.

The study included 94 participants between the ages of 6 and 12, all diagnosed with ADHD. From those children, a smaller selection was randomly picked to take a combination of Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acid supplements. At the end of the trial, 47% showed an improvement in the key issues of concern– amazing!

The body can’t produce the essential fatty acids that carry Omega-3 and 6.

This means parents and children have to rely on their diet to get what they need. This means if a child with ADHD increases their Omega-3 and 6 intake, they could become a better student and a more cooperative member of society. Additional research is most certainly needed before we know if the combination of Omega-3 and Omega-6 is a conclusive solution to ADHD. But, there are certainly indications that they have very positive effects on those suffering from the disorder.

If you feel your child is struggling with concentration and cooperation issues, try and incorporate Omega-3 and 6 in their daily diet.

You can find it in a variety of foods, like fish and Blue Band medium spread with Omega 3 & 6. This will certainly increase your child’s daily consumption of the essential fatty acids that their body desperately needs.
