It can turn into a passion that helps you recover from a long day, It can also help boost the quality of your life, and that’s why its so important to have a hobby.
But what if you’re not particularly passionate about anything? Where do you start? We’ve compiled a list of workshops around town that could help you discover new hobby.
1. Pottery
Nairobi Art Centre has a variety of art courses that they teach and among them is pottery. The course is an introduction to pottery and will teach you the basics such as discerning types of good clay, filtration, hand building, throwing, glazing and many more! Appropriate for anyone over the age of 13.

4. Zumba Classes at Dance Centre Kenya
Zumba fitness is a fun filled latin based dance routine that enables you to burn calories with a variety of dance moves and stay fit. These include salsa, soca, tango, reggaeton, cumbia, belly dance, Quebradita and African. All you need to do is move your body to the rythm, have fun and party yourself into shape!

5. Culinary Classes with Open Table Cooking School
Open Table Cooking School, based on Chaka Road, offers cooking and baking courses from the basic to advanced. You can also opt to take your domestic manager to learn the basic cooking and baking skills that will be a great way to empower her.

7. Yoga at African Yoga Project
Yoga is an ancient art that will relax you from the inside out. It’s a space where you get mental clarity and shine from the inside out. Head on to African Yoga Project for their classes.

9. Muziki Changa
Muziki Changa offers 45 minute interactive sessions for children from 6 months – 3 years and their caregivers (parent or nanny). Classes involve singing, musical movement, and use of simple percussion instruments; including both familiar children’s songs and original music.
