Weekly Round-Up: Women History Month, Greys Anatomy and Coca-Cola

After watching the Oscars and getting down from the Black panther high, Our round-up this week is inspired by this quote. The stories are about interesting innovations and celebrating women who dared to be different and strive for change, consequences notwithstanding.

 

1. Coca-Cola’s New Alcoholic Beverage

 

CocaCola is branching out with a new alcoholic beverage called “alcopops” in their first ever boozy experiment . Unfortunately it is being made for the Japanese market and if its successful it will cross over to the Pacific. Read more –>here

 

2. Greys Anatomy is getting Rid of Two Stars

You might want to sit down for this, Grey’s fans. Greys anatomy beloved cast members Jessica Capshaw (Dr Arizona Robbins) and Sarah Drew (Dr April Kepner)  will be leaving the show at the end of its current fourteenth season. They will definitely leave a void that no one will be able to fill.

 

Shonda Rhimes expressed her appreciation for these wonderful actors: 

It’s always hard for me to say goodbye to any of my characters. Both Arizona Robbins and April Kepner are not only beloved but iconic — both the LBGTQ and devout Christian communities are underrepresented on TV. I will be forever grateful to both Jessica and Sarah for bringing these characters to life with such vibrant performance and for inspiring women around the globe. They will always be a part of our Shondaland family.”
