Editor’s tip for taking your child’s passport photos:
- Your child must be alone.
- Your child must not be holding any toys or dummies.
- Children under 1 can have their heads supported and don’t have to be opening their eyes.
- Children under 6 don’t necessarily have to be looking directly at the camera.
- Ears must be showing, tuck any hair under their ears.
- The photo must be in colour and have a white background.
Take as many photos and ensure that their eyes look at the camera, their head is angled forward and they have a somewhat neutral expression.
