5 Stunning Items to Splurge on this Holiday #MadeinKenya
With the holiday season upon us, we all want to splurge a little especially if we’ve been on a tight budget this year.
The splurge list is exactly that, be warned. But they also provide excellent eye candy for those keeping to a budget this holiday season.
1) Espresso Machine by Dorman’s
I literally stopped in my tracks in the supermarket when I spied this machine. As a coffee lover and someone who appreciates good design, this couldn’t be more enticing!
2) Accessories by Adele
Hello? Before Adele there was Adele. Adele Dejak to be precise. Adele makes absolutely breathtaking African accessories that are instantly recognizable. In well-heeled Nairobi circles, you can often hear women saying ‘that’s Adele, isn’t it?’ and ‘Adele has taken too much of my money’. She’s getting global recognition and we love that her workshop is still here in Nairobi

4) Reloved Antiques by The White Elephant Trading Company
THIS. The white elephant in the room. I first saw their work at the Nairobi Fashion Market and was blown away. I’m waiting until my kids will be old enough to not draw on my furniture to get a few signature pieces.

5) Bronze sculptures by Mat Bronze Gallery & Foundry
Known in mum circles as the place to get bronze hand and foot prints, Mat Bronze more broadly makes stunning bronze sculptures. Nestled in the Hardy/Karen area, they also have a great café so if you get sticker shock from the sculptures, you can at least enjoy the good eats and expansive garden.
