Immunity Boosting Tips for the Whole Family

Immunity

Having a strong immune system is the best prevention against disease-causing pathogens. A healthy immune system gives the body a fighting chance when predisposed to diseases. Here are tips to help you enhance your body’s immune system.

  1. Eat Right

Eating healthy meals will boost your immune system and help your body in fighting diseases. Meals with fruits rich in vitamins, vegetables, nuts, proteins and carbohydrates go a long way to ensure your body has what it needs,

By eating small portions of each food group at any given mealtime, your diet becomes balanced and your body gets the nutrients it requires to fight disease-causing pathogens. Create a weekly food calendar for yourself and your family to keep you on track.  In addition to eating right, decrease junk food consumption and convenience store foods and redirect the resources into buying fresh produce for fresh meals.

However, you can treat your family to junk food once a month but it should not be the norm in the family. If you need help planning your meals, check out our family menu feeding guide for a Monday to Sunday feeding time table.
