The Kilimani Community Concert this coming themes from Complaint to Choice to Action. Too often comments are made on sad situations but sadly these complaints rarely lead to change. But the Kilimani Project Foundation seeks to make a change: From Complaint to Choice to Action.
Between 2012 and 2017, Kilimani residents and businesses have organized five street festivals that have created a community that thinks and works together on issues that matter to them. On Saturday 18th November, they will hold the Kilimani Street Festival under the theme: From Complaint to Choice to Action.
In the evening, they will have a benefit concert with a difference. All the proceeds from the entrance fee of Kshs 500 (adults), 200 (kids above ten) and free (under ten) will go to the Foundation’s work in the community.
Between 7pm and midnight, they wiill hold an acoustic concert with artists who will perform 4-5 of their most popular songs, tell stories, tell jokes and share one strong memory/impression of Kilimani as they grew up. We will request them to bring 3-5 images of them in Kilimani that will be beamed up on a huge screen behind them. Kilimani caterers will provide drinks and food. The Foundation will also sell “Proudly Kilimani” paraphernalia.
Hope to see you there!
