Children Financial Literacy is a core life skill, especially in this day and age when children are growing up in a highly complex world. Whether they come from low-income backgrounds or more privileged ones, learning basic concepts of personal finance like saving, sharing and spending is essential for a child’s growth and development. The early years of life are the best time.
We are glad to let you know that this year 2020 we will be introducing money training for Children in Schools as a life skill in form of a club called “THE MONEY CLUB”. The objectives of the club are:
- To nurture positive money habits and attitudes from an early age for a lifetime of financial well being
- To deliver key foundation knowledge and build capacity in handling money from an early age
- To prepare children/teens for real world challenges in Finances which will greatly improve many other aspects of their lives
- To help children differentiate between needs and wants hence make wise spending decisions.
This life skill prepares our children early to become financially responsible citizens who will build strong families, neighborhoods as well as local and international communities. The classes will be limited in terms of numbers and ages of children. Charges will be agreed mutually per child per term staring February 2020.
