4 Steps To Becoming a Hot Housewife
The general presumption is that if you are a Housewife or a Stay-at-Home Mum, you have a lot of time on your hands. People often do not understand how much there is to do.
It gets even harder when you do not have a permanent live-in house help or when you don’t have one at all. The days tend to blur into each other and it is very easy to lose touch with the outside world. It can get so bad that even your husband finds you boring because all you talk about are the children, the house, or the little gossip you got to hear about the neighbor while on the way to the shop.
Motherhood is a big role to carry all on its own, but being solely in charge of the home adds more weight. Waking up before everyone, getting to bed after everyone, and still expected to spend some quality time with the hubby. All you want to do is fall asleep, praying that none of the children wake up crying in the middle of the night.
Amid the never-ending to-do list, you must find time for yourself. It is a lot easier for the stay home mum or housewife to suffer from burn out because all she seems to be doing is moving around the house carrying out small tasks. Sooooo….
1. Leave The Dishes In The Sink
They will not grow legs and run away or become dirtier. Make yourself a cup of tea, turn your back to the sink, turn the radio or telly to your favorite station or pick up that book you have been meaning to read, and put your feet up.
2. Quiet Time
Take some time in the day, either before everyone wakes up or after they go to sleep, or when the babies are napping to reflect on your day or your life or your spirituality. Being a mother and a housewife does not mean you throw away your goals, dreams, and desires.
3. Leave The House
Once in awhile, take some time off from the house and get a change of environment. Go on a date with your girlfriends or treat yourself to a coffee or a window-shopping spree.
4. Spoil Yourself At The Salon
Book yourself an appointment at the saloon to get treatment, manicure, and pedicure, and possibly a facial or massage! There are a number of saloons around town that have special offers and discounted rates for those who are pocket conscious so you don’t have to break the bank account.
There are many ways to make time for yourself, these are just the tip of the iceberg. The main thing is to put yourself first every so often. It will make you a better person.
