Chef Ricky’s Juicy Lamb Fry

Lamb fry : this authentic Kenyan favourite is delicious and easy to make.

Follow Chef Ricky’s step-by-step lamb fry recipe for a hearty Kenyan lunch-time favourite. Healthy authentic ingredients and olive oil make it a great meal to eat with your whole family, including toddlers. Newly-weaned kids love ugali dabbed in a little stew, so everyone gets to enjoy the finger-licking goodness of this dish.

Ingredients

  • 20 oz boneless lamb
  • 1 red onion
  • 2 beef stock cubes
  • 4 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

This dish can be served with any kind of starchy food. Personally I prefer Ugali or plain white Jasmine Rice. Heat a frying pan to medium heat and a 4 tbsp of olive oil. Add the cubed lamb meat and fry for four minutes. Once the meat has browned, add the beef cubes and stir frequently to get the meat well seasoned. Finally add the onions. Let it cook for another five minutes stirring occasionally. When done this can serve two to four people with your favourite starchy food or veggies. Enjoy.
